What can we learn from international experiences of COVID-19 in care homes?

As part of a webinar organized by https://www.corona-older.com/ on Care homes and COVID19 in developing countries, Adelina Comas-Herrera gave a presentation on learning from the international experiences of trying to prevent and manage COVID-19 in care homes so far.

The presentation builds on two LTCcovid international reports: mortality of care home residents and international measures to prevent and manage COVID-19 infections in care homes. Both of reports are based on the detailed country reports on the COVID-19 situation in long-term care prepared by international experts, mostly from the International Long-Term Care Policy Network.

With thanks to Peter Lloyd-Sherlock and Lucas Sempe for organising this webinar, and to Leon Geffen, Nelida Redondo and Siriphan Sasat for their reflections on the experience so far in South Africa, Argentina and Thailand.
