Government policy

On 16 March 2020, the Irish Government published a National Action Plan on COVID-19, which will continue to evolve as the situation evolves. Long-term care is covered under a number of action areas. https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/47b727-government-publishes-national-action-plan-on-covid-19/

In Ireland, the Department of Rural and Community Development is leading the government effort to encourage and facilitate a community response to COVID-19. A Government Action Plan to Support the Community Response was published on 20 March.
