Short bio | I work as a health science researcher at the National Institute of Geriatrics (INGER), National Institutes of Health, in Mexico. I joined INGER ten years ago after completing my PhD in Public Health and Policy at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Besides research, I have also worked in different research and policy initiatives regarding older person’s and ageing policies, services and legislation in Mexic, published in these topics, and contributed to different national and international collaboration networks and working groups on ageing, long-term care and social support. Research interests | My research has concentrated on ageing and long-term care policy and system reforms, the social determinants of ageing, care dependency in older adults, as well as a comprehensive focus on the supply and demand sides of social support for older adults including unpaid care, and formal care. |
