- Project Summary
This report (see below) presents the findings of an online survey targeted at the informal carers of older, frail or disabled people across Europe regarding their experience during the COVID-19 crisis.
The study, conducted by Eurocarers in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Health and Science on Ageing (IRCCS-INRCA), and with the support of the European Commission, builds on 2500 questionnaires submitted by informal carers in 16 countries.
It allows to:
1. Document and analyse the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on various aspects of the informal carers’ daily life (e.g. health, caregiving situation, access to care services, support networks, professional life and finances); and
2. Collect informal carers’ views and recommendations on ways to better support them in times of a pandemic.
