Vicente Rodriguez-Rodriguez holds a PhD in Geography from the Universidad Complutense, Madrid and currently he is Research Professor at the Centre for Humanities and Social Sciences, Spanish National Research Council. As a member of the Research Group on Ageing (GIE-CSIC), his research focuses on various aspects of ageing and its social consequences (residential strategies, health and dependency, active ageing, quality of life, care homes and COVID-19, qualitative analysis). The latest publications (peer-reviewed papers, books and book chapters) have focused mainly on active ageing and some other aspects of the social approach to ageing. Recently, Dr Rodriguez is leading two research initiatives on older people care homes during the pandemic as a response of the CSIC calls on COVID-19. A general view of his CV can be accessed at:
